December 2022 marked a defining moment in my life – the day in which Larna, a Hungarian Vizsla puppy came bounding into it. From the beginning, Larna became my constant companion,  shadow, closest friend, and the perfect hiking partner. My daily reminder also, of the value of stepping outside, embracing nature, regardless of weather conditions.

THERMOPOOCH® was conceived on one of those days, one of those hikes, when nature showed no mercy and we were caught in unforgiving conditions. In reaching the summit, and as was customary, I took a moment to admire the view, confident in the performance of my own gear, warm, and ready for the descent – Larna, faithfully at my side, was not as fortunate. Shivering, soaked through, and visibly uncomfortable.

In that moment, my thought was clear:

“If I cannot find a coat that keeps her warm and dry, I will design one myself.”

With purpose and clarity, my search for the best materials and components to bring my design for a premium all-weather coat began. A dog coat that could withstand the elements, whilst honouring Larna’s adventurous spirit. Larna, as though fully aware of our mission, naturally assumed the role of design partner. She became an invaluable assistant, helping refine the coat’s functionality, durability, comfort, and freedom of movement across even the most demanding terrain.

Eighteen months later, our premium all-weather dog coat was complete.

After dedicating so much time and care to its development, Larna and I realised this was not a creation meant to be kept to ourselves. We wanted fellow adventure-loving dogs and owners who appreciate thoughtful craftsmanship, exceptional quality, and reliable performance to enjoy the same benefits.

And so, THERMOPOOCH® came to life, launching officially in December 2025.
